Dead is an incredibly difficult and challenging survival arcade-shooter game. Your going to die a lot, so get used to losing regularly. The game’s difficulty makes for a really engaging experience. Through the frustrations and requirement to constantly retry you’ll find the little nuances and breakthroughs needed to make it through.
You’ll always feel overwhelmed and completely outnumbered whilst shooting your way to survival and detonating bombs to eliminate large swarms of enemies. Blasting against the odds and winning the boss battles takes perseverance.
I personally really enjoy indie survival games such as Hero Siege, and Dead is definitely in the same bracket of fun gameplay with challenging enemies. Dead has full controller support and a YouTube option which alters the UI to allow for camera placement without impeding on the games view for video creators. Dead is certainly not for everyone. If you can’t handle a challenge or find frustration in repeating yourself then this isn’t the game for you. However if you enjoy a challenge and feel satisfaction in overcoming adversity then Dead is well worth a purchase. It’s not expensive. In the UK Dead is retailing at £3.99. Link to purchase the game can be found at the bottom of the page. There’s also a cool soundtrack dlc available to purchase too which is also available from the Dead Steam store page.
